ABOUT MADAM + WEASEL
madam + weasel is an independant publishing business that was founded in March 2025 by Rachel, a mum of three young kids living in London.
With madam + weasel, I’m on a mission to create screen - free, engaging, and meaningful activities and stories that bring families closer together and help fuel conversations. Our books are designed to spark creativity, encourage learning, and strengthen those all-important bonds between parents and kids — all while having fun and learning.
We launched with the publication of our first book, Mummy & ME - More Than An Activity Book. There's lots more planned, so please do sign up to our email newsletter or follow us on socials so we can let you know.
How We Got Started
Since her parenting journey began in 2018, Rachel has always loved reading with her children and ensuring there are endless creativity outlets available to do independently and together. madam + weasel's first book, Mummy & ME was an idea sparked towards the end of Rachel's maternity leave with her youngest child and wanting to create some activities to carve out some special one-on-one time with her older two children. Once the ideas started flowing for the activities, this flowed into an even bigger project in a publishing business.

Hi there!
I’m Rachel, a mum of three, and I’m so grateful you’ve chosen to visit my site and hopefully get one or more of my books (if you haven’t already!). It truly means the world to me—thank you!
The name madam + weasel has a special place in my heart. It comes from a nickname my auntie and I used for each other when I was growing up. She was a huge part of my childhood, inspiring me in countless ways, and when she passed away in 2020, I knew I wanted to honor her memory. When I was around 10 years old, I watched her create and publish her own cookbook using her office computer. That little book, shared with friends and family, left a lasting impression on me. madam + weasel and every book I create are a tribute to her.
Growing up, I spent hours with activity books, coloring pages, mazes, crosswords, and puzzles. Give me a pen, paper, or a good book, and I was happy for hours. As a mum, I see so much value in creating opportunities for kids (and grown-ups!) to step away from screens and connect with one another, nurture their curiosity, and engage their minds.
